Guys who bought a programer that eliminates all TCs...

Well guys i finally truly got to test my 2010 fx4 in some real snow here in buffalo ny and ive had enough with the traction control and roll an stability control. In deep snow all it does is cut power when i need it and brake when i need to keep going forward. ( In 2wd and 4 High) So my question is did any of you guys get a programer that will emilinate all of these controls an if so how do you like it?

Thanks

Outlaw - you're going to give yourself an ulcer or heart attack over this TC/TSC system. Until you get the programmer from JDM, put some weight in the back. If that doesn't work, you really should think about selling the truck or getting the rear diff changed (before you kill yourself).

it wouldnt do it just to **** you off. there has to be a reason the truck is enabling TCS and RSC. maybe call your dealer and ask them whats up.

6 posts re: disabling TC/TSC and no one has replied 'the JDM (or any other) programmer is perfect if you want to disable TC/TSC'.

I'm going out on a limb, but I don't think anyone:
1. Has bought one (is it even available?)
2. Thinks the TC/TSC system is so bad they need a tuner for the sole purpose of disabling it

Numerous people have said:
1. Put better (snow/ice) tires on the truck
2. Put weight in the bed
3. Go to a snow covered parking lot and practice (it takes getting used to)
4. If the TC/TCS is kicking in then you're applying to much throttle (it takes getting used to)

Does JDM have any kind of guarantee? Trial period? Tester program? If not, I'm guessing you might be the first one to buy one. When you get your JDM tuner, please let us all know how well it works.

Better hurry though, only 3-4 months of winter left in Buffalo!

This seems as too easy of a solution but thought I may throw it out there....what about pulling the fuse or relay for it? I've done that many times with previous vehicles for crap I didn't want.

OutlawFord I feel your frustration as I have a 2010 Harley Edition and i cannot live with the TC/TSC on my truck either. I tried dissabling it by holding the TC/TCS button down till it stops blinking but this only shuts off TC and as soon as you start to slide the TCS kicks in and ruins my attemt at having fun. I think it should be an option to turn all controls off when you want to play and back on when you are trying to drive responsibly. I am going to look into the JDM and let you know what I find out and hopefully you will do the the same.

How about just driving responsibly all the time? If you want to go play in a field somewhere, buy an old beater without all these nice doodads that help keep you from losing control and killing yourself, or others.

Thanks "dad" but I wasnt looking for your opinion on how I should drive and what I should be driving. I truely like this forum for other experiences of other members but I can honestly say I hate how some people just have to chime in with their verbal diarrhea. If you do not have any usefull information pertaining to the "actual" conversation please keep your thoughts to yourself.

Well "junior", maybe if you didn't say jackass things, people wouldn't have to call you out.

Seriously though, I see you're a firefighter. Don't you think that people should drive responsibly when out on public roads? My comment is germane since the OP doesn't seem to be able to control his vehicle in winter conditions. The "actual" answer isn't to pull the fuses on the TC, but rather to drive appropriately.

Jackass things? Huh, I thought I was having a conversation with someone else who has the same concerns as me........ Listen, yes I think people should drive responsible on the road but I also think that people like myself who like to take their vehicle to the track or off roading should be able to control a vehicle the same way we have been doing so since the invention of the automobille, if we so choose to. I like the fact that TC is there but I should be able to deactivate it when I see fit. People like you may need it but I sure dont. Last I checked the truck was mine, not yours. If I want to paint it blue & orange I can most certainly do so as it is my option. You dont have to like it, you just have to shut the &^%$ up and mind your own buisness. Being a "senior menber" on this forum can just mean that you blurb in with you own bull crap and does'nt necessarily mean you have any knowledge about the topic of discussion so don't think you are owed anything. I give respect where respect is due and you sure dont get mine. I have said my piece to you and wish not to destroy what was supposed to be a informative thread with this BS.
