BAD mpg with xcal 3

Well lately Ive got fed up with my mileage it has dipped down below 14mpg in town with the same driving habits I was getting 16-17 before......

My new exhaust. It was factory pipe with a flowmaster 40 si/so and a echo tip behind my tire. now I have a 40 series si/do and 2 echo tips before the tire Lightning style .

It was so bad that with the same tune I was shooting extra fuel out of my tips. so I turned the wot air/fuel down to -2. It stopped but its still getting bad mpg.

Any ideas? should I advance my spark?

The exhaust would casue teh truck to want to run extra lean. Now it sounds like the computer is rtying to compensate for it. Have you tried programming back to stock, and see how it runs?

A muffler is not going to cause the vehicle to go lean..

oops forgot its a troyer canned tune. 87 fuel economy. I have set it back to stock but I didnt give the ecu a chance to adapt to it because it would hardly stay running under 1000rpm

It sounds more serious than the ECU over compensating for a lean condition. Did through any codes, or give you a check engine light?

nope haven't had either. It runs good just rich. I guess Ill set it back to stock and drive it a few days.

Ive got a trip coming up me and the wife are headed to Norfolk VA and im trying to get my mpg fixed before that. No joke when my truck was 100% factory i got 20mpg from OKC to Mcalister with the wind at my back. I haven't had any trouble with it until now. Ive had it for almost a year Im still to lazy to fill out my custom tune sheets

Another culprit can be less air pressure in your tires as a function of colder weather.

Less air in tires is not going to make raw fuel come out of his exhaust. If that is what is really happening you will soon need new cats. Put it back to stock and call Mike.

No widebands around here unless I want to pay someone a couple hundred and them have no idea what there doing.

I haven't got my tunes because every time I get around to sending them in I either do something to my truck and print the papers out to fill them out again. or I have to go to the field.

update Im filling the new tune sheets out right now
