PHP sale and tune help

Okay so related to this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...-b-intake.html

I am planning on sending my edge for tuning. They have a sale right now:

Save $40 on All Orders Over $300 (Except AutoEnginuity)
• Save $25 on FICM Reprogramming*
• Save $75 when You Purchase FICM Reprogramming AND a 6.0L Gryphon*
• Save $50 and Receive FREE Shipping on Any Phoenix, FU, FU2, or Minotaur
Order When Combined with ANY AutoEnginuity Product
• FREE Ground Shipping on ALL AutoEnginuity Orders

Is the edge to gyphon in the FICM catagory????

Also I dont have my exhaust yet, I was going to wait to get it tuned until I had the exhaust installed. Now that I am doing it out of order what should I do.

- Send the edge in with the exhaust checked off for what I think I am going to get
- Send the edge in with just the intake checked off then update it later on (for more money I assume)
- Some other options.

Thanks for your help.

I can't answer about the sale, and Bill and Corey have just left for a much needed vacation, so the office there is closed till around the 28th of September.

But, as long as your exhaust mods are behind the cats, they won't effect your tunes. You can get them now if you'd like. You won't need different tunes for exhaust mods unless you install something like long tube headers and/or true duals.

DO tell PHP that you have the CAI and that you plan to modify the exhaust though. You don't want to "hide" things from Bill. And, tell him about the "drone" problem, so he knows he needs to tune for it.

Thanks Jack. I will tell him, I didnt mean I would LIE to him I meant that I would run around on the tune for the exhaust while I didnt have the exhaust.

If I can get the tune done early the sale doesnt REALLY matter, guess that would be a nice surprise.

You have no idea how long I've been wondering about this. I finally didn't have much to do at work a few days ago, so I read just about every thread over on PHP's forum. There is a ton of good information over there.

Honestly - I was not insinuating you would LIE. I was really just trying to emphasize a point that all tuners would like emphasized: "They can't read your mind and they need as much information about your truck and your needs as you can possibly give them". Otherwise, they really can't satisfy you.

I've seen a few, shall we say, "less than complete" tune orders. I don't know how the tuners can stand it.

The FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) is used in the 6.0L PSD. Read here for more info: http://dygytalworld.ehost-services13...ogramming.html

I placed my order the first day, hell the first minute of the sale discount or not I'm just hoping for a short wait time...I absolutely don't look forward to the two weeks of down time associated with sending it in.. I can't exactly drive my truck stock.. I'll be overnighting it to them on monday so it is there first thing monday and hopefully I can get it back sooner...

Yes the unit inside does get placed into a new black plastic housing with its own serial number on the back and such. I am not sure if the board inside gets replaced to allow it to be custom tuned, but it is more than just a sticker.

If you don't already have an Edge, though, you can purchase a brand new unit from PHP.

does yours not work or something? You can either buy one from them and theyll mail it to you or you can send your edge in and they mail it back converted with the tunes installed.
