Overdrive on or off when using the canned tow

tune? I used it off when on hills but on when running flat. correct?

It's what I do, more or less. I actually let the transmission tell me what to do. If I find it is "hunting", between 3rd and 4th or if the TC can't seem to stay locked most of the time, I turn the OD off or even shift down into 2nd when the hills are really steep. You just really don't want constant activity from the transmission.

i towe my 5500~ mx race trailer to the races today-with my 93 tow tune there is no hunting in od, it will stayed locked in 3rd until correct conditions allow a shift into 4th

Spoke to SCT today, they stated that the way I am running the tow program with overdrive is the correct way. On flat areas I leave it on, on hills I take it off. Just for others who may ask.

this is exactly how I do it, it takes a pretty good hill to have to take off the OD with the gryphon.
