Edge Programmer Help!!

Every once and a blue moon my Edge Programmer will just shut off. I have tried to look for common variables every time it shuts off but it just seem to be at random times. Sometimes i can drive all day and it will never shut off, and other times i will be driving for 10 mins and it will die on me and if i go to try and turn it back on it will just read zeros and just shut back off.

Check the volts on your battery. When was the last time you replaced your battery?

This actually sounds like a loose/faulty OBDII cable connection to me. Make sure both ends are tight and fully inserted.

The cable itself can be faulty too. I know of two that PHP has replaced (free) for their Gryphons. You may want to talk to Edge about this possibility.

Finally, I suppose the wiring into the OBDII port could be faulty/worn - especially in a truck as old as yours. That could easily cause your symptoms.

Is there any way of checking this. How much of a problem is it. I was also wondering if it is doing any damage to my computer. Has anyone had this problem before?
