I seem to recall someone mounting it in front of the shift lever, sort of "in the ash tray"? Perhaps you could search on "custom mounts" or "mount scanguage" or something like that. You'll get a TON of false hits, but, if you want to spend some otherwise productive time, go for it!

Eventually, I think, you'll find the post I seem to remember.

I also remember mounts on the A-pillar. Not my cup of tea, but, it might be just right for you.

Good luck!

Just for grins, I did a Google search on "custom mount scangauge" and this is one of the "hits": http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/35...ner-mount.html It uses something called BlendMount which MAY be available as a separate item. There were some other pretty creative mounts that people came up with too, that were "homemade" (in other kinds of vehicles).

A mount is something that ModBargains should probably be selling, if they aren't already. Why don't you ask Alon about one?

Here's my sat mount - maybe a good spot for SG2? The black a/c shroud is easy to rermove to make a bracket connection to the frame behind. This way, you would only need a 10" cord!

About two years ago on my 2007 F-150, I mounted my Scan GaugeII in the ashtray. All you need to do is open the ashtray compartment. Then, remove the screws holding the door and take it out. Remove the ash tray itself from the door section and put it away in storage for when you sell the truck. Use the Scan Gauge itself to pattern and mark out the sized opening you need to cut into the door (the tray attached to the back of the door without the actual ash tray in place). Take a Dremel and cut away the areas needed to fit the Gauge. Don't over-cut the opening needed. you can always remove more materila, but you can't put it back. I fit and cut several times so that my Scan Gauge fit snug in the door tray. Then, rout your cable to the OBDII. Be careful to route it properly through behind the ashtray area so it does not pinch or pop your Gauge out of the cut-out. It looks nice and factory, and after you put the ashtray back in when you remove the Gauge, no one will ever know what you did.

I'll look to see if I have any pictures, but I am not too hopeful.

Under 25 I can't get a ticket for. Over 105? I really don't want to answer that "do you know how fast you were going?" question.

Besides....who really needs to see the "PRND21" indicator. If you don't know which way you're going, then you shouldn't be driving at all.

I want to see if I can get as many horsepower as Raptor05121

I've started selling my body again. When oil goes over $150 a barrel, I'm selling my soul.
