Can Programmers Work On More Than One Truck?
i have a 2005 f150 4.6L v8 and my buddy has a 2005 mustang gt 4.6L v8
if i was to get a chip or tuner would we both be able to use the same unit?

once a tune is loaded onto a vehicle the device is VIN locked and can only be used by that vehicle.
You can use it on more than one vehicle but not at the same time and you would be loading and unloding tunes onto the device

You can have them both tuned at the same time with Sniper since it comes with two "bullets."
If you buy more bullets, you can have more vehicles tuned.
I have my Expy and my parent's F250 PS tuned.

As J&J said, it's another tuning company. I know a couple people here use it, though the main three programmers that people have on this forum are Xcals (tuned by either VMP or Troyer), Edge, and PHP. I'm happy with mine, and it does what you wanted (tune more than one car at the same time.)

Sniper can tune 2 out of the box , and more with added bullets to the interface
I've heard bad things about it all over the internet.
If you have heard bad things its obviously from a biased source , I have used it on many vehicles with great results , alot easier to use than SCT or Diablo IMO ....advantages of not having to buy extra programmers to tune more vehicles is a plus that others simply dont offer as well ....great if you have more than one car or truck
I guess everyone was lying about it? Just because you haven't had problems with it doesn't mean other people couldn't have problems. A lot of people have problems with the Edge and a lot of people don't.
I also have a pretty decent acquaintance with a 2006 F250 who had this motor blow up after using the Sniper tuner which is probably a lot of the guy who tuned it's fault.
Regardless if you think it fits the bill for yourself than that's fine. However a lot of people don't think it fits the bill. Not to mention a lot of people do not tune with them so if you want to go on the dyno you'll have to buy another device anyways.

That is total BS to those who know the facts behind aftermarket tuners in general , again any brand tuner can blow something up if you dont know wtf you are doing , so dont blame Sniper for the blown up truck .
Blame whoever the tuner was .
I have an Edge on my 2006 F150 and the only customized thing is the tire size and the tunes that are preloaded work great , stays on level 2 with 87 in the tank , gets 14.5 to 15.5 MPG . Before it was about 13.5-14.
I see lots of people on here paying to get custom tunes from different dealers and if you were to dyno every single one before , from stock , to canned tune , to custom tune Id bet the majority of guys only pick up within 5 hp or so from the canned to the custom tune. The only advantage of custom tuning IMO is the ability to select YOUR preferred shift points , firmness etc .
Sniper has all that built in along with the fact that their adjustments after the initial tune is made has far more adjustability than any tuner on the market allowing the customer to tune it to their own liking at any time they desire . The tuners have no lock on user adjustments which is SCT number one complaint against them at this time because most tuners now are locking the tuners so that the customers have to come back and pay them money to make changes later.
Total BS again from the supposed best tuner out there . Im not bashing SCT just stating the facts from a person who has experience with SCT , Diablo , Sniper , Accel DFI , Edge , Bully Dog , Banks , Hypertech you name it ive done it seen it used it so dont try to give me the SCT is the best crap , and my friend blew his car up with a Sniper tuner so dont use it BS .
My car blew up with an SCT tuner on it from probably the best Modular tuner on the east coast and I will say it wasnt his fault , it wasnt the tuners fault , it was an engine that let go nothing more nothing less . Motors blow up everyday alot of times its just a simple parts failure and for whatever reason 9 times out of 10 if the car has an aftermarket tuner on it everyone wants to point blame on that .
So I hope you guys will start opening your eyes to other brands instead of being blind sheep and just using SCT or whatever just because thats what everyone else uses , I do advise if someone is not familiar with tuning and has an SCT dealer near them that will tune it go for it more power to ya , but just be ready to open up your wallet again if you change something later.
SCT lost all creditability with me when they got rid of Jerry W. which again was some BS , and you say alot of people dont tune with them ??
Thats funny have you been on Snipers forums lately there are more and more tuners everyday , switching over to or dropping whoever they have to go wtih them so you might be surprised if you go look and actually see that Big Daddy Dwayne Gutridge in NJ is tuning with them as well as Mike Wilson from Dallas Mustang in TX , AMP performance AZ , Rick Erdman at Amazon in SC as well is Don Lasota in OH who helped write the SCT pro racer manual is about to pick Sniper up as an addition.
So how is Sniper a bad choice knowing that all these guys that have been tuning for years are using it , the word is spreading and more and more people are tired of the same old same old .
well thats the end of my rant , peace
I hope this opens some eyes

2002BLGT, my eyes might have been opened, but I was exhausted reading by the time I got about half-way through your "rant" and I found I couldn't recall anything you said.
Please don't take this as an insult or a putdown or anything like that; but, please, try to form your thoughts into paragraphs that let our minds pause and absorb what you've said.
Standard sentence structure with periods to end them now and then help too.
Here's a rule of thumb: A sentence is a thought. New thought, new sentence. New subject, new paragraph.
And, I'm not bashing you!! But, if you want us to understand what you are saying, you have to help us!
Also, I'm not an "expert" in writing by any means. But, I've had to look at a lot of writing and I know what makes sense and what doesn't.
