I might be shooting myself in the foot here, but don't always choose based on price.

There is also a chance that my F150 tuning will go up in price in the next 6 months, due to the additional calibration work required for the much more complex 04+ F150s.

I do currently sell the SCT X-cal2 and X3 tuners for around $400. When you buy a custom tuner on my website it includes 3 custom tunes. If you already have an SCT tuner you can order just one tune off my website for $50 (current price as of april 08').

Ive been thinking about this a lot and just my 2 cents. I think its cool Justin@VMP adds 3 custom tunes when you buy a xcal!! I also think more venders should atleast include 1 - FREE custom tunes or give a discount for custom tunes the more you buy 1 for $50.00 2 for 90 and 3 for 80.00. Just my example. Especially if you buy the xcal from them.

Again this is just my 2 cents and not trying to take anything away from anyone. I know its hard work to create these custom tunes or should I say for paying for there knowledge!!

Technically its not free, but one hell of a deal. He charges you $15 more if you want custom tunes, so its $5 a custom tune vs $50 for a custom tune later on down the road.

Hey, Justin you still taking trade ins to go from a X2 to a X3 or maybe a live wire.

Is it possible to purchase a Gryphon or SCT2/3 from any of these vendors, and redeem the custom tunes at a later time when I've completed my mods?

Also, what is the discount on the Gryphon if you send in an Edge?

That is exactly what I did, I have the gryphon on my stock truck right now, it came with a voucher for 3 custom tunes that I can redeem whenever I do my intake/exhaust.

Not sure on the upgrade details from edge to gryphon...

Just call Bill at PHP with this question. You'll be glad you did!

I didn't answer myself because that would be a sign of craziness, but I was baffled. The whole idea of custom calibrations is that they're CUSTOM. Yes, Bill can take part of one calibration and use it to change another calibration, but each one is unique.

That being said, we have a list of about 80 customers waiting for custom tunes. Even if Bill did nothing else but custom calibrations, it would take him a L-O-O-N-G time. Meanwhile, he's also doing contract work for a few different companies, doing live tuning for some customers, working on the Pegasus software, etc. Our customers have been wonderfully understanding of our circumstances. We couldn't ask for more!

So, yes, add us to the list of tuners who are asking their customers to wait "just a little longer." We're confident that you'll be thankful you did!

oh boy, was i that idiot who said that?!?!?!?!? i was thinking you guys have done so many different tunes that you prolly came across another custom with the same specs. not hard to come across another person who basically has an ALL STOCK truck with just an exhaust!

Hi there,

When upgrading from an Evo to a Gryphon, custom tunes are purchased at that time, so there's no reason for a voucher for that. The tunes are included for free with the Gryphon, but not everyone chooses to use them at the time of purchase, which is why we include the voucher (with their invoice number). Custom tune prices are on our website.

PHP is on top of their game so far in my experience. Corey has been great to work with and is always timely in her responses. It only took a few days from the time I ordered the Gryphon for it to arrive on my doorstep, and is now perched snugly on the dash of my SCrew. Love the unit and all the information it displays. Can't wait to try out the Tunes.
