Has anybody downloaded updated firmware on their xcal 3 and if they did what did it change.

 

i did, and it was so it could recognize my truck being it an 07. thats about it.

 

I'd highly suggest updating the firmware. The early models of the Xcal3 had a lot of firmware issues.

 

well i only had my tuner for four weeks now and was wondering if and how often should i have to get it updated. Plus in a few more weeks i should have my tunes from troyer and will i need to update firmware with custom tunes.

 

I'd update them now. In the future if you run into problems or if you hear anything on here about updating, do it than.

 

Alright, hey is there a big difference between canned tune and the custom tunes i ordered 87 perf, 87 tow, and 93 performance.
