Fifty, while I appreciate the spirit of your suggestion, there is no way on God's Green Earth that I would accept money for helping people resolve problems. They paid good money and DESERVE a working unit. However, I am always up for free drinks!

Thanks to everyone who feels I have been helpful and has stood up and said so. I greatly appreciate it.

Take care.

Bill, you got class! Come to Tucson some day! But, I could do better than beer - like single malt?

I purchased an Edge Evo about two weeks ago. She works great at monitoring engine parameters, but gave me a "d2" error when attemting to power program any level. I do not remember exactly off the top of my head, but the error description was something along the lines of the PCM is not able to accept a data request. I called edge and they were pretty stumped and decided to just send me a replacement unit. The unit should be arriving within the next couple days and I will give it a try, but I was wondering if you, Bill, have ever heard of such a case? Thanks!

First off, what kind of vehicle do you have? The D2 error indicates that the Evo is not able to initialize communications with the PCM to begin the programming process. This could be due to a faulty cable, Evolution unit, key not turned on, or some other problem with the PCM or wiring harness. The last two are not likely. Try it again when you get the new unit and let me know if you still have problems.

Bill,
I have recently taken my truck to ford here in Fayetteville, N.C. for my 4x4hi & 4x4low lights flashing 3 times every 2 minutes. Ford could not find a problem but suggested returning to the stock program. As soon as I did the lights stopped flashing & my 4 wheel drive system seemed to function properly. Could the Edge have an effect on this? I also have had bad spark knock while program 2 is installed. I switched to 93 octane fuel and haven't heard it ping since. My truck is a 2006 KR. I am currently running an airaid intake and the programer is set to stock. I'd like to get rid of that throttle lag & gain the performance back that the Edge provided earlier. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The Edge is for a stock truck only, your cai might be running the Edge tune lean. I happen to me. I have no answer for the other problems.
