I hope Bill can shed some light on my situation too. Will he post a solution here or send me an email or what? Thanks for your help.

Cyldr #2 misfire

Ok, I'm having a cyldr #2 misfire when ever I use edge canned tunes. This did not start till I updated the programmer. I return to truck to stock and problem goes away.

Let me say that whether or not I work for Edge is honestly between Edge and myself. With that said, I will answer your question only in the interests of preventing any further speculations or rumors.

I left Edge in June to work with Jody at DP-Tuner. It was apparent fairly quickly that thing between me and Jody weren't going to work and I left to pursue other opportunities.

Now, because of my intimate knowledge of the Ford Evolutions, Edge was obviously left in a difficult position when I resigned. Knowing that, I agreed to help them by offering to continue to help resolve any issues. I do not get paid for supporting or troubleshooting these problems. I figured that Edge was good to me and my family for almost 4 years and it was the least I could do to show my appreciation for their generosity.

I have spent a significant number of hours on this forum, as well as countless hours on the phone with Evolution owners, trying to resolve existing issues, with no compensation I might add. I refuse to stand by and have people question my motives or my character. I don't have to be here, but I personally feel for every person who has had a problem with their Evolution and I want to do my best to make sure that everyone is happy with a product that I (for better or worse) helped design and build. If people can't appreciate that, then in the infamous words of Winston Wolf, "Best of luck, gentlemen."

Sorry to come across as a jerk, but OCP#11 obviously has a problem with me and I'd like to know what exactly it is. Quit beating around the bush and spit it out.

Bill

I have had my Edge about 15 or 16 months with zero problems and would not want to do without it, so you have not had to help me in any way. I just want to say a big thank you once again for all the assistance you have provided to those having problems. I wish more people had your attitude!

I can't say I've not had any problems, but reading through these forums has been a big help and I've especially liked Bill's input. Please Bill, don't let one or two troublemakers get you down, there's no way you can please everybody and someone will ALWAYS question your motives.

Bill, I personally want to thank you as well for being a stand up guy and supporting those who are seeking your help/advice. It's great to hear you are willing to answer any questions regarding this product, even though you no longer have an obligation to do so.

Having said this, I have had my EDGE for about a year now on my '05 and I have had ZERO problems with any of tweaks I have made to the canned tunes...and I've made a LOT! On your advice, I have not updated my EDGE, and I won't until I hear more from you! If "it ain't broke..."

Thanks again, and sorry for not posting earlier in support of your efforts.
Stephen

Okay, so now I have ferreted out the 2 people who have had zero problems with the Evo!

You know, it's forums are a lot like restaurants... It's easy to complain (and some folks certainly have valid complaints) but all too often the nice things, while not unappreciated, go unmentioned. Think about it... When is the last time you had a problem with a meal and complained to the wait staff or manager. Now think, when is the last time you called the manager over to tell them what a good dining experience you had or how courteous the wait staff was. I appreciate everyones support and certainly have no intention of leaving anyone hanging. I know it has been difficult for the guys that have had problems and as I have said, I take it very personally when someone isn't 100% satisfied.

I fully expect all the bugs to get ironed out. One by one they are getting resolved, it just takes time.

Anyway, I hear Subway calling me name. (And no, I don't work for them either.)
Bill

I'll second that. I've had my Edge for a few months now and love the thing! Bill should be congratulated for being an honest standup kinda guy. There aren't enough of them in the world.

One day in the near future I'll be contacting you (Bill) for a custom tune. Until then thanks and please don't go anywhere!

Guys like Bill are few and far between. He has helped me on this forum and helped numerous others while not getting paid for any of his services. Not too many other people in this world would even think of doing what Bill does for all the Edge owners out there. I would like to thank Bill for all of his support and would like to say keep up the good work.
If you are ever in the NJ area Bill look me up and I'll take you out and all your drinks and food are on me. You definitely deserve it.

I to have had my Edge for about 18 months and have not had any problems with it. Bill has not help me personally, but it is good to that he is willing if any problems arise.

I think that you guys should show how grateful you are by sending him a couple of dollars for his efforts. It shouldn't be that hard to PayPal to his e-mail.
