normal cruising isnt that bad. but do you do any driving at elevation or towing? towing or even a heavy load in the bed make the thing drone like mad on the highway. but i do a lot of hauling on the highway (firewood, ATVs for hunting etc) and i cant even hear my self think. the awkward shifts happen at elevation when climbing. that doesnt bother me as much as the droning. before i had the edge on it didnt drone, even with flowmasters.
The uneven shifting will happen even when towing with a stock tune. mine dose it especially bad if the cruise control is on. this is why the owners manual says to avoid excessive shifting to turn off the overdrive when towing. it also recomends turning off the cruis control. I find these to only be nessessary when towing or hauling on a grade. and also I believe the level 3 is not recomended for towing or hauling. corect me if I am wrong on this one. also that droning I believe is common with your muffler choice. I would think you will have the same with a troyer tune. keep us updated.
