EDGE Review!!!

Picked up latest Ford performance trucks magazine and they have a 3 page article on the EDGE with a 5.4L 3v. It got good reviews and I have seen alot of people wanting to see dyno numbers on the edge around here, well.... Today is you lucky day.

Stock Dyno Run: 179.9hp at 4,413rpm and 248.9 ft. lbs

Level 2 Run: 211.0hp at 4,997rpm and 264.7 ft. lbs

level 3 Run: 230.7hp at 4,539rpm and 302.6 ft. lbs

This equals a 50.8rwhp gain alog with a 53.7 lb-ft of torque

Not too bad! Now F150 has over 370 crank hp and over 410 crank ft. lbs.
(This was all done on a stock Crew Cab 4x4 F-150)

Hope this helps!

Wow, I'm impressed if those numbers are right. The Edge is all they changed between runs? And the truck was totally stock? I have to admit those gains seem a little higher than I thought was possible with just the Edge, but then again it IS the new 3V engine. Good info! Thanks for the post.--DIY

yes they have all the dyno sheets in it, I also just noticed that the truck has a leveling kit and 35" all terrains....so that is an underated 50.8 rwhp gain!

Looks like Troyer is in trouble, I know what chip I am buying now!!!

You are on some good stuff if you actually believe that. Do you honestly think you could gain 50rwhp and 50rwhp on a canned tune on a gasser?

I've read that article. They probably fudged the stock #'s down about 20-25 hp to make the edge look like it gains 50 hp. Stock is around 205-210 so a 20-25 hp gain to reach 230 sounds more realistic for a canned tune on a gasser.

but did you guys see where it has larger aftermarket wheels and 35" A/T's hard to tell but look like they could be M/T's...

I can believe 50rwhp gain because you have to realize these trucks are soooo detunned from the factory

That would be nice if it were true

I have the Edge and even though it adds a nice kick over stock, there's no way it's 50hp.

I do not see that possible to get 50 hp at the wheels from a tuner

Troyer in trouble??

Those numbers are SO enhanced its not funny. There is absolutley, positively
NO WAY an Edge can make that much hp and torque...If you believe that rag maybe you want to buy some beach front property in Arizona...Actually there is no tuner alone that can make that much power...

While I totally concur that the Edge can enhance one's driving experience and definitely add it's share of ponies to the bottom line but 50 RWHP is rediculous. NO tuner will pull 50 out of a gas engine... zero, zip, notta.

In honor of the 50 RWHP claim, I shall raise the flag...
