My 05 F-150 KR Screw runs great on level 2 or 3 with tire/axle ratio/timing changed.
Do not automatically ASSUME it's the Edge causing all your problems.

Exactly! Same here.

Hi.

I think your are partly right.

PCM code yes, but Edge's possible spotty support for specific '06 codes, not the factory tune itself (which appears fine).

Remember - Edge already indicated they were aware of the problem - that's a BIG hint right there.

As indicated by me & others - contact 'em, give 'em yer codes, and keep on 'em!

Or, go buy an X2 & be done with it already !

Do not automatically ASSUME it's NOT the Edge causing all your problems.

Are you guys loading lvl 2 or 3 stock tune, then going to the custom setting tune?
Just wondering, because when I would always do it, I would go back to lvl 0 or factory tune, then reprogram the truck into a custom tune. I never had any problems going that route.

I have an '06 as well and I have not had any problems with adjusting any sort of the custom options on any of the levels.

Thats what I was trying to say. That works for me, have you had problems doing it that way?

That's what I do. I choose the level I want, then the load previous settings and adjust the timing for the level I'm choosing, then load the custom tune.

Ahhh.. the dreaded "User Error" thingy rearing it's head again?

Gotta be one crappy manual LMAO !

I'm giving these guys a little more credit than that !

For the slow ones in the class - NOT the ones having the problem lol - could one of you folks that are having this issue, go do it again - write down each specific step, & post those steps back on here, please?

Cheers
Bubba

I also always reload the stock tune and then go into custom programming and chose level 3 (or 1 or 2 if you chose) and then enter the parameters I want. I have not had any problems doing this. Of course, my truck is an 04....I do think it is possible that it iis related to certain hex code families. You guys should post your hex codes so people will know.......might help us better understand what's going on. On that note, I am at work and can't remember my hex code?

I spent half of the day Sat. trying every combo I could think of, driving the truck to test it,wasting my 93 octane, and nothing worked. There has to be something different with the 06 because look at all the members on the previous page that own a 2006 model, and the ones that say they had no problems owned another model year. There is no doubt in my mind that Ford changed something in the PCM in the 06 model year but, the box my Edge came in includes the model year of 06 so they should have it compatable with my pcm. I am 100% positive user error can be ruled out

Have you heard back from Edge yet? I'm curious as to what their response to this is? I've been running the "canned" tunes without any issues and have not tried to customize anything yet, but when I do, I certainly do want to run into any issues.
