It seems like whenever you are coasting that it causes the average to get screwed up. therefor the more city driving you do the better your average gets haha.

Sounds like they need to fix the aMPG....Looks like maybe they rushed another update without putting much research into it.

I think they rushed the EDGE period, without putting much research into it.
I've made up my mind, it going to be in the F150 Classifieds, Very Shortly....

Had my truck in the shop for warranty work, they gave me a loner with the ford computer indash. The damn thing would climb to 32 mpg almost everyday.80 miles to work and back.I would reset and sometimes it would work, sometimes not.I had it for almost a week and messed with the damn thing alot.so it is not just the edge.
I'm looking for a tuner for a 4.2ltr. in a 2006 anyone know of one available?

I think the edge product is still good...lots of satisfied customers....you aren't going to make everyone happy...just think they need to do some more research on the ampg....seems like they are trying to give what the customer is asking for....I haven't seen any other tuners that react to what the customer is asking for...at least not as fast as edge...JMO

Hi TSDan,

Yes, we can help you with tuning for the 2006 F-150 with the 4.2 - in fact, you can take advantage of our Group Buy going on right now, & here's the link to take you to that info: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=227214

By the way - the 2004 & up F-150 with the full trip computer has a bit of a quirk with it's MPG display that has nothing to do with the Edge unit. What happens is, Ford never designed in a real "instant MPG" mode - you can get instant MPG for a few seconds, but then it reverts back to the "accumulated MPG" mode.

So it actually can be "tricked" into giving you an instant MPG display, but only for a few seconds at a time - and every time you do that, it also resets the accumulated MPG numbers - now some people think that all you are doing is actually resetting the accumulated MPG number when you do that little trick, but it's not - it's actually giving you instant MPG for a few seconds or so - it's just that Ford never intended for you to see a prolonged "instant MPG" mode, is all. Just FYI.

If you'd like to go over any of the details of our Group Buy, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below, & best of luck with your new truck!
