Kool Aid,
Thanks for the link. It does seem that everyone is experiencing the same issue. I have actually managed to recreate the issue in our trucks as well, and I am working on a resolution. I expect we should have this cleared up by Monday.
Take care and have a good (rest of your) weekend.
Bill

Octane Question
I don't think this question has been asked, even with all the octane posts.
I am currently running level 2 (towing), with 87 octane, If I was to put in 89 would I have to adjust the timing? Does anyone think I will get any MPG gains by doing this?

Help me
Okay I have a newbie question and am a little confused.
I just upped my tires and wheels to 285/55/20 BFG All Terrains. I know I need to adjust my evo to get my speedometer corrected. Do I leave the gear ratio at 3.73 and jsut change my tires size? The Manual says to never change the ratio and the ratio calc says never to change it as well without actually changing the actual parts. But then i thought I read in a post here that if you change the tire size u must change the gear ratio... Im running around in circles... can someone help me?
Ill take any and all suggestions...
If it helps I have an 06 f-150 lariat SCrew
i can give my hex as well if its needed.

Set the gear ratio to whatever you have. Don't just look at the setting, and back out. Make sure the ratio is correct, then hit the "enter" button.
Tire size needs to be set, as well.
How you arrive at the tire size is up to you.
You can use a chart, or this web site......... TireSizeCalculator.com which shows 2578/MM's for that tire.
Or, the best method is the "roll out" where you measure the tires yourself.
Enter this MM into the Edge and hit the "enter" button.
Simple.

Thanks you soooooooo much!!! I always tend to worry about everything and overanalyze.... so i really appreciate the quick response.... ill leave it at 3.73 and do the roll out to compare to the calculator!!
Thanks again
Derek

Derek
And one final question i hope... what would happen if u disconnect the evo from your vehicle without returning it to stock....because u forget and then you run back out there because the lightning software says hey stupid, you have to return your truck to stock.... did i lose my stock configuration when i ran back out there to return it to stock?

If you have 3:73's then make sure you hit the "enter" button on that screen.
Nothing wrong with disconnecting the unit. It does not have to stay in the truck. Your stock configuration files is saved on your PC.

Is it a bad thing?
Oh yeah.....I never, ever "Bashed" Mike Troyer. If you can find an example, please point it out, and I will apologize. I don't "Bash" people, ever! I may not agree with them, and I will speak my mind.....but it's never a personal insult, or a "Bash" as you put it.
