Detailing Kit -- What is Essential?
Detailing Kit -- What is Essential?
I'm in the process of thinking of Christmas gift ideas and thought that this would be a good point to ask for some of the essentials for a good detailing kit...
What all do you recommend beyond the obvious?
Thanks...

get the essentials--soap, wash mitten, chamois, wax or polish, applicator pads, cotton towels, bleache white and tire shine, other chit ya might need. Tell your better half that if she'll get this stuff for ya, youll get her that new vaccum cleaner shes been needing for a while

Intel: I've got a question for you. I've got a little wax residue on the area surrounding my tailgate handle. What can I use to remove it? There's not much there, but it bothers me when I look at it.
Glaffer...
Try the endless numbers of posts that deal with wax on trim. You'll find suggestions from peanut butter to WD40...
Do a search for "WAX TRIM" and that should yeild a slew of results...
Thanks for the suggestions on ideas for the kit. At this point, I have just about everything that has been mentioned... Anything else?

If that doesn't work, then a dye like Forever Black will dye it black. A dressing like Pro's Bumper Renewer will also work and it lasts awhile.
Peanut butter puts a coating of the peanut oil on your paint. It really doesn't remove the residue but covers it up like a dressing.
