Micro Fiber Towel Question....

Another Micro Fiber Towel question guys. Would you suggest or does anybody use them for taking wax off???? I have 5 Cannon white towels and 5 Micro's. I wanted to know what would be best for taking wax off? I've never used the Micro's before and I'm still waiting to try them out.... been raining here lately.

Thanks

for what it's worth, I got my truck last month and waxed it with liquid glass. I had purchased a couple cannon 100% cotton, made in the USA towels at WalMart. I also received a free microfiber towel with a tonneau cover I ordered on-line.

I put the LG on with a piece of pre-wet cotton towel.

I tried removing the wax with another cotton towel but it caused a lint blizzard. The microfiber towel did an excellent job. No lint and easy to remove the dry wax.

I'm sold on the microfiber.

Lariat,
Here is my .02
I had some micro fiber towel's that Rick from Coat's sent me and they have been sitting around for about a year at least. Well last weekind I decided to give the Big Black Screw a coat or 2 of Cherry Wet Wax and decided to give the towel's a try instead of using the cotton one's I have. I could'nt have been more pleased. They work excellent !! I used them for taking wax off. I will be ordering 4 more on Monday. I'll probably buy them from Coats because that's where the other's came from & until I learn more about who has what & where else to buy them these will work great.

That's all I can tell ya

I use all 100% cotton for buffing off wax and polish from the paint. They seems to do a better job at pulling stuff off the paint and they don't clog up as fast as MF towels can.

Some people will go over once with a 100% cotton towel to remove most of the residue and then again with a microfiber towel for a final clean up and buffing.

Where is a good place to buy the Micro fiber towel's ? I know alot of place's on the web offer them but are some better than other's?

Intel,
Where do you buy your cotton towel's from and what kind are they ? I also want to stock up on some good cotton towel's. I see Griot's has a set of 10 that are 19 x 19 for 14.95. How does that sound ?

Thanks for the input guys....
FALLSCREW, I ordered mine from YoSteve.com. I heard that they were great Micro Fiber towels. Really plush and they pick up everything. I have used the 100% cotton towels for the past 2 1/2 years.
They do work really well! I think the Micro's may be worth a try. .
Once again, thanks to all for your suggestions and time. More input will also be appreciated.

Thanks again....

Lariat,
I looked at yosteve website. Do you know what size those towel's are ?

The one's from Coats are also green but are 16x16. They are 5.00 each.

I get my from my local product distributor who buys them in bulk. They are scrap towels from Royal Velvet. Most have no tags but a few do. They are decent size too. Maybe a little larger than a normal bath hand towel. I'll measure because I really have no clue. I know I can buff all the wax off my truck using two of them. I just keep folding to a clean side and flipping it over.

I think then come in packs of 12 (or 13, last pack I counted had 13 towels) for like $15. Email me and I can give you the number to them if you want to order some. 1337h4xor@***.net

I don't have any of his towels inside to measure but I believe they are close to 16"x16"

They are a good size and worth every penny.

FALLSCREW,
There the same size 16X16. My observation.... they're put together really well and are very plush.
The reason for purchasing them from YoSteve for me, is that I've heard alot of good things about his Micro's from other members.
