Question How do I get rid of water spots?

There's some nasty water spots on the side windows of my truck, I have tried every window cleaner available but nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you got a buffer, then go to work at it with polish.

Vinegar will also take waterspots off windows. If they have been on there awhile, then they might have etched the glass?

Get some dawn on a brush and go after it. Try to avoit getting the dawn on your paint, unless you want to strip off the wax.

Last time i did it, I loaded the window up with window cleaner (as a lube) then went over the whole thing with a razor blade. cleaned them spots right up
Watch out for any stickers though.

Intel, what polish for the windows? I have a buffer and would love to go to town on my wifes truck windows. They are spotted bad.

use " AMAZ - Water stain remover "
It works great. I left my truck outside and the sprinkler came on due to the timer during a hot sunny day. It had spots that wouldn't come off with anything until I tried the AMAZ product.

I bought it @ Restoration Hardware.

Any Polish!

I use Pro's DUZ-ALL clear coat cleaner. It takes off the waterspots.

Hmmm...
I dont like windex or other liquid type glass cleaners. Might as well use water IMO. I use a foaming action window/multi purpose cleaner like this and havent had any problem with water spots. Its like what a lot of commercial cleaning services use for mirrors, drinking fountains, bathroom sinks and toilets. These surfaces get the worst grime and waterspots. They also work well on dust, coke, and general interior surface cleaning. Might not be good for paint/wax, so I apply mine directly to the towel.

But isn't polish an abrasive? I don't want swirl marks in my glass! What's another pre-buffing step I could try to remove water spots? Is vinegar dripping all over the place on my paint safe?

I've never had problems with swirling on glass. Glass isn't as soft as paint. If you are using a DA buffer, then you won't have any problems with swirls on glass. (DA = Dual-Action)

Vinegar is fine for the paint but it will strip your wax. So, after using vinegar on the windows wash the paint and rewax it.
