Sap and waterspots on my truck. Please help.

Got back from a visit with some friends in Vermont. While there had to park near or under pine trees. Now that we are back I see lots of small and a few large sap spots on my truck. Also lots of waterspots on my hood. I would like to take care of it the right way. So I am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Use a razor blade to cut off the top of the sap to expose the soft center. Turpentine will dissolve it.

You'll have to use a mild polish to remove the waterspots like 3m's Swirl Mark Remover or Meguiar's #9

bug and tar remover works real good with a bug scrub brush. Both can be found at autozone.

I've had good luck with Tarminator from Stoner.

It is safe for clear coats, and you don't need to get near your paint with a razor blade.

The other that is good, but now that Track Auto closed is hard to find around here is the 3M bug and tar remover.

Both of these will strip the tar right off with a few wipes of a clean cotton rag.

Re wax, or wash the truck in Dawn to strip the wax, you call there. If I have a large amount of sap, I strip the whole thing, and start over ( looking over the paint to see if you missed any sap is what I do ).

Maybe even think about claying if it needs it.

peanut butter will take sap right off. That's all there is to it.

Thanks RockPick and evryone else. I would have answered sooner but have not been online for a few days. Yes RockPick you seem to be familiar too. Something about KR comes to mind, whatever that means.
