my plan

ok my dad's truck is due for a wax job this is what we were thinking of doing please feel free to make suggestions or comments.

1. Wash truck with Meguiars Gold Class

2. Use Meguiars #9 Swirl Remover

3. Polish with #7 Show Car Glaze

4. Wax with Medallion Premuim Paint Protection

5. Spray #34 Final Inspection

This is our plan for my dad;s F-250 properly protected. Any suggestions or comments are more than welcome

P.S we think this should give his truck a blinding shine too and he DOES NOT want to use a claybar. He thinks they take some of your paint off, i must agree with him. Clay bars scare me

You're scared of a claybar removing paint and you are using Meguiar's #9... you know it removes some of the paint?

I have to agree with Intel on this one. The #9 is abrasive and will remove more paint than the clay.

Clay, if used properly, will do a much better job IMHO. Other than that, it looks like a good plan. Meguiars makes some really good stuff and I don't think you can go wrong with their products.

Good luck.

Are the scratches widespread or simply here and there?

Well, in that case, it might need the #9. Personally, if you're going to stick with the Meguiars products (which there's certainly nothing wrong with that), I'd call them up and give them the scenario of what you have and what you want to accomplish.

The toll-free help line for Meguiars is 1-800-347-5700. I've called them before and they are pretty sharp. They definately push their products too so, if you're somewhat hesitant, I'm sure there's an equavalent product on the market that competes with the Meguiars product.

Good luck.
