Dang it...
Unfortunately, wax doesn't do much of anything to alter paint's ability to take a hit from a sharp object.
yea i really didnt think this sounded quite right, lol, i mean wax stopping a rock being shot by a wheel? While I do not know how good the condition of the wax is on this truck, because I just got in dec. and havent been able to do it yet due to weather....I am planning on doing it soon.
Anyhow, so would a rust converter then paint be good like glc said? Is there a primer that does this? Kinda like that rustoleum that does it on furniture and sheit.
If you don't use rust converter, you have to sand it down to shiny bare metal, then use a primer and touchup paint. With rust converter, you can paint right over it.

Aight, ill look into that. I could actually use that in another spot too. The edge of the bed u can see when u drop the tailgate has some surface rust along the edge...wanna hit that while i fix the chip.
