Hi Veloci! Haven't heard from you in a while! I've always heard that the Zymol leather products are good. I've seen them at Advance Auto before. It comes with 2 bottles. If I remember right it was around 20 bucks or so. Hope this helps.

I've been using Lexol cleaner and conditioner for two years. Works pretty good.

Cool

I've had good luck with the Lexol products too; touching up with "The Tannery". The most important thing is to use any good cleaner/conditioner regularly (at least every few months).

Citrus smelling leather .. eeewwwww ...
Sorry just my opinion.

I use Zano's Leather in a bottle ..
It has a cleaner and a dressing.

It restores that nice leather smell.

Mmmm

my 2 bits

Question

I've had my truck about a month and these are my first leather seats too. Has anyone used Tanner's Preserve ? The Cleaner comes in a spray and the conditioner comes in a cream. I also have this newer product made by 3M called REFRESH scented (citrus mist) Vinyl & Leather Protectant. I tried some on my vinyl parts and it works great without the greasy feel and smells great! I also use meguires vinyl protectant too..good stuff too. Just wondering if the Tanners stuff is good (it must be since it has been made since 1865)

I use Tanner's Preserve Leather cleaner & conditioner. It seems like a nice product, although I don't have anything to compare it to as this is the only stuff I've used. It tends to make the seats a bit slippery after applying it, leaving it sit, then buffing it off. Is this normal for leather conditioner? Can anyone reccommmend a better product?

Thumbs up

I use the leather conditioner from my Ford dealer. I can use it both on the leather and vinyl. It is a little slippery when you first put it on but it does make every thing look good with a low shine to it. For the cleaning I use Tanner's cleaner as it works really well with no residue

Lexol is good enough for saddles (been around before the leather truck seat craze) so I'll gladly trust my seats to the quality of this product.

I bought my 97 used in 99 and don't have any cracks in my leather seats yet, using Lexol.

What ever you do, keep them moist. Dryness will crack and kill your seats.

Good Luck!

Veloci: Try finding Lexol at Walmart or Kmart. It's not necessarily an "auto" product. I got mine at a local furniture store chain, but only cuz I also have some leather furn. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
