Unhappy Hail damage

8 months away from paying off the truck and BAM! hail damage. Anybody ever had to have hail damage fixed? It got the hood, roof, and the whole passenger side. Can hail damage on the roof be fixed? Will it ever be the same? Any good info will help ease the pain.

The "paintless dent removal" boys around here love hail storms. I would also get estimates from the body shops as well.

Hey Clean!

I'm in Florissant too. Lucky for me I have cover for my truck! What a b!tch that hail was...literally bigger than golf *****. All the neighbors had vehicle damage. I know a claims adjuster who had 900 claims at 9:15 this morning.

What part of town you in?

sounds like you have alot. one thing is that you can get dry ice and put it on the dent and most of the time it will pop out. and when they fix the roof they cut if off and put a new one on. well at least thats what they did to my friends truck. hope that helps

Cool

I had this last spring on my wifes Saturn. As long as there are no creases in the metal the dent can be removed. On the roof because her's has a sunroof (aparently could not replace metal) they had to fill one dent because it had creased. The hood was replaced because it was aluminum. If I am not mistaken all 97 and newer F-150 hoods are aluminum so you may be in for a new hood. Ours was covered 100% under comprehensive on our insurance, and done by a body shop not the paintless dent repair trailers you see pop up everywhere after a hail storm. Talk to your insurance company, you may be surprised at what they will cover.

Talking

Those paintless dent removal guys are amazing! We had a 71 Cutlass we painted come back in with a severe golf ball dent(actual golf ball, lol) It was nearly half an inch deep, and heavy gauge metal to boot. When the guy was packing up the tools,I walked over to check it out. Not a single ripple, wave,NOTHING! I wanted to learn that trade, but the training costs 10 grand The guy said he cleared about $1500 a week, though. The custom truck he was driving was the proof ,,,,,,98
