Talking All Aboard!

One week. Yep, it's been one whole, glorious week since I purchased my brand new 2000 Ford F-150 XLT Super Cab 4x4 FS Off Road. I LOVE it! And I say with with much enthusiasm. I've been the owner of small vehicles all my life, and at 6'-4", I was tired of the big man/small car talk. Well, I shut everyone up!

I love sittin' high above the "commoners."

Been lurking on this board the past few weeks. Some great info. Already talked to Sal Z. about keeping my black monster nice n' shiny. Great info here.

I'd like to thank Mike in advance for all the usefull info. I'm looking forward to upgrading the ol' truck with a superchip, cat-back exhaust, K&N stuff, Linex bed, bed cover...the list goes on and on.

So thanks to all you guys for instilling in me the growing truck enthusiasm. I've caught the bug. Hope to be asking questions and learning in the comming weeks.

Ragarm

This board is clearly a corrupting influence on society. If we're not careful, the government is going to shut us down for encouraging this mayhem! :-)

Alll I've got to say to him is, "Suckerrrrr!" :-)

Cool

I almost bought that exact same truck, but I already have black paint on my car and don't want two. Too much washing But the green is still a dark color and looks great. Have fun with it.

ragarm: Welcome to this site. It is GREAT! Do yourself a Signature now.

A word of advice, if I may: Before you post a topic, search back beyond 30 days over the past year or so and see if anyone has posted something similar. If so, add a Reply and bring the thread "back to the top". Doing so keeps things workable on the server and things don't get repetitive for the long-termers (which you may become!).

As for paint, when clean, black rules!

Black 2000 SC short-box XLT. 4.2 V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 limited-slip. CD, remote entry, factory side steps, rear fender inner splash shields (TSB 00-09-05), FORD box liner.

My third F-series (ordered new, personally). The other two: '73 F-100 Custom, 240 cube 6, 3 on the tree, tan, "West Coast" mirrors, step bumper, knitted vinyl seat, AM radio; and '98 F-150 XL-SC, XLS package, Pacific Green, 4.2 5-speed, 3.55 ls, FM-cassette.

GREAT trucks!

I thought I'd tired of buying cars and trucks until I saw the HD F-150. I've had 38 vehicles, 98SCREAMER, but I'm 54 so got a couple of years on you! Had everything from Porsches to Mercedes to Corvettes. (My first car at 16 was a 1956 Mercury Parklane.)

Ended up trading in my '97 F-150 that was barely broken in with only had 9300 miles on it for the Harley edition.
