Must read BLACK WHEEL treatment tip!!!

I have 20" XD wheels on 35in.tires and have dreaded cleaning them through the 3+ years of ownership, until now.I use Mothers back to black IN MY OWN SPRAY BOTTLE,wash the wheel best you can with brake dust remover/water,dry and spray on product(I tried wiping wax on once, too many tough areas to reach).Nice thing with spray bottle,it gets all the tough spots.Wipe wheel best you can so it looks somewhat even. The first 2 days were a bit too shiny for my liking but after a few days, they look brand new.Best part is,2 weeks later when I washed the truck again, the wheels still looked great and the brake dust was not able to stick and washed rite off!

I'm guessing the wheels are matte/satin black? Would probably look like crap on glossy wheels, in all honesty.

Yes they are matte/satin and you are rite, that would look ugly on gloss.Gloss are also easier to clean.I got tired of having the copper look from brake dust in all the corners and crevaces, now everything stays black and with the bearier, they are so much easier to clean!

Thanks for the info! I dread cleaning my Rockstars. I even went as far as taking my wheels of this weekend to get a better angle on cleaning them and it still didn't work. Post some pics!

Has anyone tried this with the product 'Forever Black'? Seeing the photo review of the trim treatment from the guy with the silver FX4, I wonder just how durable it would be on our matte wheels.

Hyper dressing looks great when fresh, but the first rain they drive through they look awful and cloudy after they dry. Wonder if Forever Black could be a better alternative since the guy reported excellent durability after two washes.
