Cool

Try "heat" from a hair-dryer to soften the glue.
If it's put on with double-sided foam tape, you can "saw" it off with monofilament fishline.
WD-40 should remove any remaining glue. (It'll also remove any wax, so don't spread it around )
Good Luck.

You can try heating up the glue with a hair dryer. I know from experience that this will work on boat registration numbers but I haven't tried it on my own truck yet. Mine is a decal not an emblem stuck on with double sided tape. I think it would probably work for both types. Then clean off as much glue residue as you can and rewax the area.

Texan,
I always have the dealership remove it before I agree to the purchase. That way, if they screw it up, they are responsible for it. I think they look tacky, and really don't feel like doing any free
advertisements for them... but, since you already are stuck with one, the fishing line works well and so does the WD-40(which also works for the removal of gum from the paint!!))

Good Luck!!

I don't find the Dealer's Logo that intrusive.
It's just his name, address, phone number and web-site etc...
What bothers me is he keeps calling me to update it everytime his interest rate changes.

Time before my present truck, during final negotiations, I offered to the dealer that I would leave it on if he threw in a bed liner. Told him I wasn't going to advertize for him for free. Needless to say I was scraping it off myself the next day.

Oh..the bed liner? Well it cost me $150!

3M Makes a great adhesive remover. Start with the hair dryer to gently drive and remove the sticker then remove the remaining adhesive with the chemical remover. It does remove wax but it will not penetrate nor hurt the paint.
