Thumbs down Paint Stain Remover

My truck is Oxford White and everytime it rains a black residue runs down from the emblems, door handles, etc... I need something that will remove them from the paint. I've tried Meguiars Cleaner/Wax and also Clay Magic. Any ideas? Thanks.

Question

I have the same problem, especially coming from the bed rail caps! It seems like I have to wash the truck after every rain, or I end up with ugly black streaks! They have always washed right off, but probably because I can't stand looking at them and wash the truck right away! Any suggestions on stopping this before it get to the point of Frank S where I have stains that won't come off?

Cool

You could try Meguiar's #9 swirl remover or 3M Polish. A slightly stronger abrasive is Meguiar's #2 High-Tech cleaner (still clearcoat safe), or as a last resort diluted Simple Green. You'll have to rewax the area after using either one of these products.

& a leeetle chrome tip on the exhaust.

I to have a Oxford white truck, and this makes my 4th white vechile. Once I puchase a vechile I wash it real good and get off any tar, bugs or nasty material and then I put on a good coat of Liquid Glass. about 2 weeks later I wash it throughly and put on another coat of Liquid Glass, that will help protect your paint from the black and washes off nice.
I seem to be getting alittle blacking under the drivers side mirror, but not enough to really worry about.
This won't stop your problem, but it will help in getting it off easy....Good luck

Yeah. Your not waxing it often enough if its that hard to remove.

try using diluted alcohol with a couple drops of dish soap or if that doesn't work try 3M brand of adhesive remover.
