But what if your truck is new? I will probably wax it for the first time at the end of the summer. Don't you want to use a wax that is not too abrasive since the paint is new? Bob.

Question

Bob: why are you waiting until the end of the summer to wax your truck??? I started putting wax on mine one month after I got it. Get some wax on it now Use just wax, not a cleaner/wax!! I wax about every month and use the cleaner/wax about twice a year. My wax is carnauba by Royal. A lot of people use a lot of different brands and from what I've read, we all seem happy with whatever we use. Just make sure it's just a wax!!

Cool

bob1,
I've had my truck less than 1½ months and it definitely benfited from the wax-job. As I mentioned above, I'll be doing the remainder this weekend -- I think I'll do the 6-pack of Sam Adams too.

I don't know if the rain-x wax does the same; but when I use the window treatment, a couple of simple bug hits make a complete mess of my windshield. Their guts bead up and streaks !
