Great *trick* for DARK PAINT
I use Ford's Wax-Treated cloth to rub my truck down after I wash it. My truck is Black and even the most careful hand-washing can leave tiny scratches (mainly on the Nascar flag decal strips). I *wand* wash my truck, drive it to work, then I wipe it down with the wax cloth to remove the road-film that a wand will miss. I end up with a hand-washed and waxed look without the scratches.

98Nascar: Where do you live??? If I sprayed water on my truck then drove it around, I would have to use a cleaner/wax to remove the water spots!!! I'm near the beach in NC, my water is so hard you can walk on it. Even just washing my truck, I have to keep spraying it because it's so hot here, it starts drying before I can get to wiping it down. And let me tell you, these water spots are no laughing matter. They're tough to get rid of.
On the other hand, I'm glad you found such an easy way to wash your truck. I would love to be able to wash mine that way

Oklahoma. I go to Spot-Not and use their *no-spot* rinse... than I drive till it's dry. Still get some water spots @ door handles and tailgate that are pretty tough. On those, I use a Clearcoat safe *Final Step* detailer spray cleaner/wax to remove the tougher spots first, then I go over everything with the wax-cloth. Detailed my truck today... total time (including:wand wash, spot clean, wax-cloth, vacuum and wipe down interior + detail tires with Ford's tire spray) about 35 minutes.

35-40 minutes is about right
, but that doesn't include drive-time. Also, I waxed my truck last month and that cuts the time down some. If it's been raining alot and I've got alot of road-scum on my truck, then you can add about 15 extra minutes.

Well (lovell1), don't know about "bang for the buck" value, but I can say that I like my JET pulleys WAY better then the JET chip that I bought. Superchip RULES!!! My alternator is *stock*, but I don't think I'll let my truck idle for 20 minutes with the A/C and Headlights on.

Hey 1998 Nascar...
I've seen your truck, actually twice in the same evening! I work in Tulsa and i saw you drive by outside where i work off of 71st.
i was watching your truck and all i could think was 'god, those tips are huge!'. i'm sure you didn't notice my baby sitting out in the parking lot. sometimes i park her out front to torture the 2 co-workers that nag me constantly to trade them cars.
if you are over on E 71st try to look for my truck, not hard to miss and can't be mistaken for anyone else's truck.
