Name your top car cleaning products!

I'am always looking at products that give that little edge, shine, protection for my truck. The following products are what I use and would recommend to anyone. Name yours

Wax: The Wax Shop's Superglaze

Tire Shine: STP Son of A Gun

Tire Well: Armor All Foam (Keeps it black)

Carpet: Prestons Carpet Foam

Dash/Interior: Fantastic/Wet Lint Free Rag

Best Chamois: The Absorber

Scratch/Oxidation Remover: Kit Scratch Out

Headlight/Tailights: Kit Scratch Out (Removes those pesky bugs and fade)

Leather Cleaner: Zymol

Leather Conditioner: Lexol Conditioner

Weatherstripping: Mobil Silicone Spray

Wheels/Rims: Armor All Quicksilver II (Man I miss the original formula)

Engine: Ivory Disk Soap/Rag (Allows me to go around those pesky spark plugs)

Was looking at my wife's dark blue Taurus last night - looking a little shabby (oxidation, dull look, light scratches from the dogs...). Decided to try something new, so I bought some Meguiar's Gold Class Clearcoat Prep and Gold Class Paste Wax. Washed and dried the car. Hit it with the clearcoat prep and then the wax. I have one word for the results:

WOW!

Looked like a different car - the clearcoat looks a foot deeper than before, and the blue is so dark it is almost purple! Only took a couple of hours to do the whole car with both products.

I can't wait to try this stuff on my new truck (black).

Highly recommended!

KM-F150: yea, I finally upgraded my stereo. My husband knows about the head unit and the 4 new speakers, he couldn't miss them!! But he has yet to "notice" the amp I've slipped in under the back seat!!! "(But really, I thought new stereo always included amp too )"

The part she can't understand is the subwoofer..."Why do you need so much bass? You're supposed to hear music, not feel it."

I beg to differ....

Yeah...keep her happy, I get toys for the truck. Having trouble talking her into the stereo upgrade, though...she thinks the stock unit sounds "just fine"...I lost points when I threatened to make an appointment for her with an audiologist!

Without going into gory detail & hauling a crate of product next to the PC... 95% of what I use, is Meguair's (MG) professional line. (wash, wax, polish, glaze, tire shine, vinyl/rubber cleaner/conditioner, chrome polish, plastic cleaner/polish, wheel cleaner, etc.) Some Medallion & Deep Cystal line stuff too. Colored plastic trim, exterior, gets Wax shop bumper black. I'll be trying the Wax Shop line in a few weeks. (Slick Stuff & Super Glaze.)

My favorite is MG's Quick Detailer or Final Inspection. Takes about 5 minutes to make the truck look like it was just waxed. Dust first with car duster & then follow up with QD it FI. Makes the black paint look great!
Note: The MG Quick Wax is not that quick, except to apply.

Thumbs up

I just did a partial wax job on the big-white-monster (front, hood, mirrors, roof, and cap-top) with Mother's Pure Carnuba. I agree with FrankS, I can't believe how smooth the waxed portions are! Looks like I'm doing the rest of it next weekend -- and probably the wife's Honda too.

LOTS of work, but my mileage is sure to go way up since I'll just slip right through the air

The beer is always the best part of taking care of the truck. I do like the Absorber. It does a great job in fighting off water spots.
