Good car vacuums

Not sure if this has been discussed before. I'm just curious if any of you have suggestions on some with GOOD car attachments and flexible hoses. I bought a Rigid shop vac from Home Depot but it just seems to bulky to get around with ease and the attachments aren't all that great for tight spots either.

I have the large Rigid vac and it is too big and bulky. I found a good one at Lowes on sale for $20. It comes with a smaller hose and attachments. Only bad thing is that the cord is too short. Its only about 6 feet long.

I have a very similar one, Sleestak. It's a 2.5 gallon 2.5 hp Shopvac with 1 1/4 " hose. The cord is only 6', that's what extension cords are for. It only has a 4' hose, I bought a 8' extender and some extra attachments. When I bought it, they didn't have any with the 7' hose like yours.

I have one of the Shop Vac All Arounds 2 Gallon 3 horsepower, it's small but packs a MEAN punch. Plenty of cord length to do anything I need, and will comfortably sit on the center console of my truck while I sweep so I don't have to move it around. I paid $50 at Wal-Mart for it.

My mom got me this 4gal 5hp Craftsman shop vac last Christmas. It has a 20ft power cord and comes with 5-6ft of hose. She also got me the accessory pack but the only good part of that is the extra 8-10ft hose it came with. This is a great vacuum. Plenty of power and small enough to easily transport.

I have the vac below mounted on my wall in the garage.

It has exceeded my expectations in EVERY area.

Highly recommended.

I use the Little Dirt Devil (for 15 years). They are fairly cheap, have a nice hose attachment (5 foot) and a mini rotating brush attachment and permanent bag. It's electric with a very long cord (20 foot) and very powerfull!

Okay, so I went to Sears last night and bought the wall mounted 5 gal. I stood there for about 10-15 minutes staring at the two craftsman mentioned above trying to decide. I just like the idea of hanging it on the wall and getting it off from the floor. I don't have a lot of room in my garage so that is kind of nice. The other 4 gal model has a really cool accesory kit available for it. It includes really small attachments that would great for vents and really small/tight areas.

I just use my some vaccume and go at it on the lightest suction pressure going against the style of the carpet. Never a complain and still looks new.
