It is meant to be used in conjunction with the wipers, but I have always had wiper chatter so I would end up not using them...oh well.

That's weird. I've never got the wiper chatter. I've heard of it, I've never seen it though.

Well, I'm on round 2 with it. For the side and rear windows it's great. The jury is still out on wether I like it or not for the front window. A fellow I work with loves it and it's not giving him any troubles, so it may have been the way I applied it, I don't know, but I'll find out next trip and/or next rain. May even be this morning as I'm heading to the airport in Columbia, about 70 miles each way.

I've got the stock blades and don't have a problem ... It's pointless to buy expensive wipers here in Florida. Regardless of brand the sun has it's way with them long before anything else ...

I concur. I won't spend a bunch of money on wiper blades in FL.

x3. I spend the extra $.80 to get the Michelin blades just to say I have matching tires and wipers

I've used rain-x since 1998. I had the same hazing problems in the beginning. Then I figgured a way to appy it and have never had a hazing problem since. And that's a couple applications per year on the dozen or so vehicles that I take care of.

1. Make sure all glass is cool to the touch
2. Before doing any cleaning I clean all the glass with sprayway and blue shop towel.
3. Apply rain-x liberaly and wipe with blue paper shop towel (yes the vehicle is still dirty)
4. Wash the car as normal including the glass (this takes all hazing away)
5. Dry glass after wash as normal
6. Clean again with Sprayway and blue shop towel.

I haven't tried any other products. Rain-X exceeds my expectiations and if it ain't broke........

I just ended up buying silicone blades that make the window bead water just like Rain-X, except I don't have to apply or reapply anything and the silicone blades don't dry out and crack every 4-6 months.
