So, is NXT 2.0 better? How and how much?

It's been out for a week or two now, right? I have been on the edge of my seat waiting for you guru's to make a definitive statement about it, but none yet.

Is it better? How much better, and how is it better? Please, I'm on the edge of my seat!

I not sure you can define how much better but I did half my hood with 2.0 and the other half with the original NXT about 2 weeks ago. My observations are that the NXT 2.0 is darker looking and has a more slick feel to it.

By darker looking I mean it looks very clear and deep looking similar to carnuba waxes. I really like the look, it's a deep gloss shine.

When you run your fingers across it you can tell the difference right away between the two as well. 2.0 is very slick and smooth. I think Meguiars has a real winner with the NXT 2.0.

If the weather doesn't get bad this weekend I'm going to do the whole truck with 2.0 and I'll post some pictures.

Sweet. Thanks for the reply. I've looked elsewhere on the net, and others have also said that it darkens the paint. I can't wait to give it a try. Looks like it may be a slam-dunk.

I tried the NXT 2.0 today. It was after-dark when I finished, so I can't comment on the shine yet. But, it went on and came off *much* easier than did the original. Also, it is much smoother to the touch than the original.

But, again, the big difference was how easy it was to apply. It only took me about 45 minutes to do the entire truck. I'm going to put the second coat on in the morning, and I'll try to get some pics up after that.

Not sure how much it'll cost. But there's a Meguiar's "kit" at Wal-Mart right now that is a steal, and it contains NXT 2.0. I think that's the only place it's currently available. The kit comes with ultimate quick detailer, tire shine gel, quick interior detailer, tire cleaner, scratch-x and the NXT 2.0-all full size containers and it's only 25.00!! Really unbelievable, especially since it has the NXT 2.0 in it. As others have already stated, the wax and uqd alone would be 25.00 or more...

That's why Meguiars has a forum. You can go over there and get any infomation you need. You can also call their 800 number information hot line as well.

Got some pictures today of the NXT 2.0. I really like this stuff. It looks great.

Man, neither of the local Wal Marts carry 2.0 OR UQD... I am pretty dissapointed. I was planning on buying myself an early christmas present... (I bought a nice Addidas Soccer Ball instead...)

Hey Tic, it looks GREAT! Nice work.

I always admire a user that isn't afraid to take a direct sun reflection shot and post it up!

Thanks RP.

I wish the pics would come out with the Sun in focus, like it looks in person. I think I need some kind of filter or something.

Well, I snagged the LAST bottle that a walmart 10 miles away had, along with the 3rd to last bottle of UQD... (The one in Keller, JP). Unfortunately, I dont get to try out the NXT 2.0 until later on-- I woke up sick this morning, and being that the windchill is 39*, I cannot afford to get sicker...

I did try UQD, and found it to be streaky, but I am wondering if it was because it was freezing cold (about 40*) yesterday when I used it, or maybe it doesnt like my LSP (tropicare black spray carnauba wax over Optimum spray wax with carnaua + sealant over Nattys Blue over PB polish with Carnauba and Sealant. SO... Hopefully sometime in the next few weeks I can find some better weather to rewax my truck.

The UQD, from my limited experience with it, isn't streaky. I'm betting it was an evaporation issue being that it was that chilly. Don't give up on it yet...
