Anybody know where i can pick up one? Just want to get out most of the crap they put in the water, and some of the minerals to reduce the risk of water spots and so forth. thanks!

Would I need two? one for water filter and then one for water softener or would just the water softener be enough?? I cant imagine that much stuff floating the the water that would hurt the paint??

Personally I don't even bother with water spots. After a wash, I dry then go over with detail mist.

Adds maybe 20 min and 3 MF towels.

I think what you would have to worry about with that set up is, water pressure becoming an issue. Especially when the filter starts to get clogged. You may have $300.00 worth of filters bought, in how long a time? I dunno what the filters cost but they can't be cheap either.

I think the MrC system will work if you have moderately soft water... My water is crunchy. It did not work well for me at all and I found that I spun through those filters like they were candy...

Here's my review of the Spot Free 1000 unit. I find this unit to be VERY user friendly and it's easily regenerated with simple softening salt. The unit isn't 'high-tech' by any stretch but, it works for me. I think the hardness strip test as shown in the aforementioned thread tells the tale...
