Hey RockPick - Question on Meg's PC DvD

RP,

Have you watched the video that Mike Phillips put out? I was thinking about ordering a copy from either his site or autodetailingsolutions.com. I know it has to be a great video, and I am always looking for new tips and tricks.

The DVD is a pretty new thing...

No, I wasn't on the 'gratis' list for getting a trial copy of that one. Mike is pretty sharp when it comes to the PC -- in fact, very good. His counterpart, Mike Pennington, is the guy when it comes to the rotary...

I won't buy it but, I'd say that I'm slightly interested in what's on it. Never know where you can pick up a hot tip or similar. Say, if you buy it, let me know. You can start a rental service -- of course though, that'd be illegal.

Well I feel bad for you, black truck, middle of summer. It's like a diet plan, you get outside and sweat for hours trying to get out every little bit of spider webbing. Well atleast you'll be getting a good tan!

Someone pass RP the bottle of aloe

I guess I'll just have to order it and give you a review.

At one time, didn't Meguiars actually have the entire video or atleast parts of it online at Meguiars.com?

I think that they still have some 'how-to' segments... additionally, I know that they have some clips showing their products in action... they're VERY goofy in my opinion...

I purchased Mike Phillips DVD.

If you have never used the PC before it is a good starting point for learning the proper techniques for using this tool. Even if you have used the PC before, you still may pick up a few tips.

Below is a link to a list of all the topics covered in this instructional DVD

http://www.showcargarage.com/index.p...e=1960Corvette

All in all I thought it was a very informative video for someone like myself who was just starting out with the PC. The video is over 2.5 hours long.

I bought the VHS to see what it was all about and would only give it a 2 out of 5. Some good tidbits thrown in between common sense and commercials.

I like their products but the VHS was a disappointment.

Knowledge is power... blah blah blah.

In short, if you're interested in learning more about the machine, I'd suggest getting your hands on any training material that's out there. I haven't seen this DVD but, I know the guy in the video (Mike -- I stayed at his house when I was in CA for the 3-day class @ Meg's) and I know that he is passionate about his work. He's a gifted detailer and knows his stuff. I'm sure it'd be worth seeing.
