Paint Question.

I recently bought a 2004 F150 as a CPO vehicle. I didnt notice when I test drove it, but after it was detailed and delivered I noticed It has a very low quality paint job. The texture looks like an orange peel. It is without a doubt the worst factory paint job that I have ever seen. The fact that the truck is black makes it even more noticeable.

It is still under factory warranty, but the warranty on the paint ends at 1 year.

Is there any chance that I can get Ford to do anything about this? There is no way they can be happy about the quality of this paint job.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Start talking to the dealer now, before your warranty runs out.

Going to be a tough one.... contact Ford Customer Service's 800 number. Start the ball rolling there and continue it rolling at the dealership. If you can get one or the other on your side, maybe you can pull something off.

Thanks guys, I will get on that.

I was on fords website checking out what the inspection entails to be a CPO and ran across this:

"Doors, hood, decklid/tailgate not visibly damaged; paint not mismatched or poor quality "

Maybe I have a leg to stand on.
