Try claying it. But be sure to use lots of lubricant. Quick detailer works well as a lube for clay. If that doesn't work, try heating it up with a hair dryer and gently clay over it.

Probably the easiest way to explain the claybar process is for you to check out this intructional video clip at the Adams polishes site http://www.adamspolishes.com/videos/clay_bar.cfm

After you clay the truck, you will also need to polish and wax.

Once you have your truck cleaned up to how you like it, the thing to do is KEEP IT CLEAN
Honestly mate, you cannot let dirt and crap set up for a year on your truck and then expect it to look good.
If it needs to get washed every day, do it. if the trees are a problem where you live either get a car cover, cut the trees down or move

Good luck

Clay is an amazing product.

In the short term they do sell sap remover for cars.

I've used Coca-Cola to remove road tar from vehicles before. I don't know how it would work for tree sap.

Rain-X or Alcohol works great with a minimum of rubbing.

My dad swears by an ice cube....he uses it on his 2004 Wrangler. He says it comes right off. Later.

Last year I went camping in the mountains, and I parked under several large pine trees. When I got home I noticed that my entire truck was covered with sap... What a complete nightmare! Tried washing it, didn't help... Tried claying, still no much help... I ended up going to a local professional detail supply shop, and got some Prowax Tree Sap Remover. It's in a spray bottle. You have to spray and wipe each spot that has sap on it. You don't want to wash your entire truck with it... Time consuming, but it did take care of the problem.

BTW, I'm buying a truck cover for situations like this. Never again!

He said that he just put the ice on each spot and rubbed it around until the sap started to break up....he swears by it. Good luck!
