Rockpick.....need some advice

I know this is a truck/suv forum, but i have a question on my 94 GT mustang's paint. I have some spots that are either tree sap or crap from "aphids". I know the crap from the bug is imbedded in the paint (i think). What could i try for the sap and stubborn spots? Is there anything i could try for the paint?
Thanks in advance

I would have to say give a clay bar a try. Look up some previous post on how to use properly and it should do the trick.

Hey I'm not Rock but I had the same problem with tree sap. I used the clay bar to remove road grime and the sap. Take your time with the clay bar and make sure you lube it. Follow it up with a polish and a coat of wax

I concur with them...-- the best thing, in my opinion, would be to give clay a shot.

If you have an extremely steady hand, you can use a razor blade to "chip apart" the biggest nastiest sap blobs, to get the down for enough that you don't have to rub for an hour with clay. THere are also plastic razor blades that will help you if you have a permanant case of the shakes from all the drugs and booze back in the dayz.

Even if you didn't have the "crap" on your paint, get some clay and go over your entire vehicle. In the mean time, sometimes hot water and a soft sponge will remove sap. Be warned that using a sponge can leave you with some fine scratches that will need to be buffed out, whereas the "light duty" clay won't (normally).
