What is the best thing to use to dress the plastic areas on the exterior of my Blackwood. I'm referring to the plastic covers and fillers that have sort of a pebble grain finish (covering the wipers, filler panel around the mirrors, etc). Everything I've tried looks hazy after a while. I've gone to "paint finish college" on this forum so I'm sure someone has an answer.
Also, once and for all, whats the best thing for weatherstrip?
Thanks perfessers....

My personal favorite is Vinylex. Even better, they've come out with Quick Wipes that aren't oversaturated (nor undersaturate) that work great for precision detailing.
Like toliet paper though, everyone has a personal favorite. This thread should serve as a starting point to try out a few products and see which you like best...
Best of luck!

I've had great results using NXT tech protectant. I tested it on my parked 94 Ranger before using it on my F one fiddy. I tried a couple different products on the mirrors and rear bumper cover. The section with NXT still looked great after 4-5 weeks.

Does anyone know if the NXT Tech Protectant is water-based, or a silicone or other oil base? I dont like how silicone protectants leave the high gloss, I like the satin finish the lasts, and was wondering what NXT Tech Protectant is like? Anyone compare it to 303 to give me a general idea? Thanks!
Since I posted the original question, I took RockPick's suggestion and tried a few different ones. What I did was tour the neighborhood and "borrowed " what my neighbors liked and used them (except Armorall) on different areas of my truck. Seems as though NXT Protectant won for ease and durability. It even restored some areas that were hazy from the sun or maybe another product. I tried it against Mothers vinyl protectant, 303, Turtle Wax and even gave the Pledge a try (that worked good on the interior but didn't last on exterior. Also left streaks after a rain).I also found out that if you use the NXT and then happeh to get wax on the trim , it comes off much easier than where it wasn't used.
One additional thing that I found with the NXT was that when I used it on the cup holders, the beer cans slid in and out much more smoothly and the beer stayed colder. Hmmmm......
That alone would make it my choice.
