Order of attack
I havn't seen this topic on any of the posts. What order do you use when you detail a car/truck?
I approach it like this:
Vacuum interior
Clean inside of windows and windshield
Clean dash, console, door panels and other surfaces. Apply protectant if using
Treat/ clean seats, leather trim
Engine compartment and trunk (wax /detail spray edges of hood and inside edge of fender now so I don't have to open hood during wash)
Tires
Wheels
Plastic and vinyl trim
Wash and dry
Wax or detail spray
Pop-a-top.....
I find that if I do the interior first,starting with the perimiter ,working toward the center and toward exiting the door, I am cleaner and I'm not "contaminating"what I've already done than if I did the exterior first. If I do the interior last, I'm dirty too tired to do the fine detail in the interior.
Any opinions or comments?

For my "full-on" details (twice a year) here is how I do it:
* Clean Engine
* Clean Exterior - Start With Roof & End With Wheel Wells
* Dry Exterior
* Bug & Tar Remover As Required
* Clay Bar
* Enamel Reducer
* Polish Exterior Paint
* Wax Exterior Paint
* Chrome Polish
* Detail Exterior Trim
* Polish Headlight & Tailight Lenses
* Clean Interior
* Protectant On Interior Trim
* Shampoo Interior - If Needed
* Clean Interior Glass
* Clean Exterior Glass
* Vacuum Interior
* Rain-X Exterior Windows
Going through this whole process usually takes 1-1/2 days over the weekend, provided I perform the first (3) steps on Friday afternoon/evening.
