#26 topped with #16 pics

Well folks today I went with a coat of #26 topped off with a coat of #16. Boy is that #16 a helluva product to remove! I sure do love it though. I ordered two more cans today b/c I know the end of it is near soon.

I put on and removed all product by hand. I gave my PC a rest today, don't ask me why b/c I really should have broken it out to remove the #16. I promise you though that I did get ALL of it off.

Here are the results...

Very Very Very nice...

Did you note any difference going from 26 to 16? Also, you mention that you should've used the machine with the 16 removal.... was it a beast? With ultra-thin coats, it's really pretty slick coming off... not as easy as NXT or GC but, definitely not a #7.

Well first off thanks for the compliments. I had been keeping my truck up since last week with QD and if you remember last week I used #80 and two coats of NXT (1 on Sat, 1 on Sun).

As for the difference from 26 to 16...I think there seemed to be a deeper shine after adding the 16. I put the 26 on early this morning and it was really easy to buff off. Kinda like the NXT. It had a bright glow to it and I was very pleased with it. Since I didn't have much else to do today, this afternoon I decided to put on a good coat of 16. If this makes sense, I feel like it has a "thicker" shine to it and it seems to be a "heavy" shine. Didn't seem to be so heavy with just the 26.

As for removing it, UGH. I think I may have put too heavy of a coat, but oh well. I think my next mistake was going upstairs to have a beer for about 30 min. to let the wax haze. I used some nice MF's to buff it off and let me tell you it was one heck of a job. I live on the beach where it is 65 and breezy and I was sweating! lol

I used A LOT of elbow grease and had to continually look at an angle to make sure I removed the very fine lines of wax that was made from swirling with the foam applicator. I figured 16 would be as easy as the 26 to remove so I didn't feel like pulling out the PC and all that mess. Esp. since I live in an apt complex and don't wanna annoy the neighbors too much (soon to be moving!)

I also would like to mention that I finally got to try the NXT Insane Tire Shine. The applicator nozzle is really nice and I think the shine is good as well. I will let you know how long it lasts. It doesn't seem to be as "wet" as everyone describes...which I prefer anyway.

I'm interested in trying the Insane Shine... Stupid name but, I've heard good things about it. I haven't been able to put my hands on it... *yet*

Thanks for the insight on the #26/#16. I've wondered about that.

I do understand what you mean by a 'thicker' shine (I think).

Again, thanks for the description and thanks for sharing the results.
