Cloudy Headlight Lens

Well my wife got into a slight fender bender with her car. Got it repaired and all is well, except the body shop had to replace the driver's side headlight. Being that the car is 4 yrs old, there's a noticeable difference between the new headlight and the "older" one. The original seems to be a bit cloudy. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions on ways to buff out the lens to try and make it clear again.
Thanks

Meguiar's PlastX is your best bet.

Here's a THREAD from meguiarsonline.com that should help out tremendously.

Well the business isn't up and running... *YET*. Plus, I have to keep focused on the fact that we're moving into the very very very slow season for shadetree detailing outfits.

I think the PlastX will work wonders on your problem though. Be very patient with it and you'll reap the rewards...

I just got back from Advance auto parts and they didn't have the PlasteX. They did have the ScratcheX, I think it was $5 for a 7 oz tube. I tried it on my headlights on my '94 Ranger and it seemed to work pretty good for the 5 minutes I messed with it. I'll be able to tell better tomorrow in the daylight.

Now I gotta get a big crate for all the auto detailing crap I'm buying! Thanks, RP.

I've heard of others trying ScratchX on clear plastic pieces with pretty good success.... try to take some before and after pictures if possible!

Hey RockPick, got a suggestion for you. Once you open your detailing business have you given any thought on becomming a Meguiar's dealer? There's often times when we cant find some of the products you mention and end up having to order via the internet. I'm sure most of us would rather give you the sale instead of dealing with an outfit we never heard of. Just an idea.

I've thought along those lines but doubt I'd ever go that line... Who knows though?

Thanks for the thought though...
