Hard to say but, have you checked the power cord itself? Most of the newer cigerette lighter cords have their own 'in-line' fuse built into the plug portion of the assembly. You might have blown a fuse in the cord. If so, replacement is as simple as running to wallyworld and buying a fuse.

You might try plugging another 12v item in and seeing if it works.

Good luck.

I'll try to do a little research for you but, I'm really not sure I'll be able to dredge up any information.

Hopefully, someone is going to come along and give you an answer... I wish I knew it...

I'll try to check it out!

I did the same in my 1999 F-150.... if memory serves, I had to replace one of the big fuses under the hood. I'm 6,000 miles away from the truck right now or I'd run outside and check.

Just got a chance to look it up.

Per the EVTM, the Aux power socket is fuse #1 ; 20 amp in teh battery junction box ( under the hood fuse box ).

The Cigar lighter is in the central junction box fuse 3 which also supplies power to the DLC and RAP module.

so it seems there are 2 different fuses for each plug.

FWIW : For a SCrew the rear power point is yet another fuse # 12 in the battery junction box.

Hope this helps

Steve

No one owes me anything. If it is beer for payment, then I'll have to reassign a whole bunch of these "IOUs" to other members.

Looks like Neal, JMC, TexFordD, AJ and a few others are going to have beer for a year if this is the case

I get this stuff by reading way back, so it is all in here somewhere, it is just a matter of going back far enough to read it all.

Also I think at least 2 are needed for the corrective lesson in Thermodynamics

Good luck, hope you feel better

Steve

Sounds like we need to just get together and have a 'kegger'.
