Bedrug/Tailgate Problem

I bought a used bedrug from the classifieds here and when I installed it, everything went smoothly until I went to close the tailgate. The fabric that covers the gap between the bed and gate keeps getting stuck and being pinched by the tailgate, not allowing it to close. Did anyone else have this problem?

On mine, the fabric in the tailgate area goes "down" (into the void) when the tailgate is shut -- no problem closing the tailgate. (2011)

Same on mine (2007). Nothing preventing the tailgate from actually closing.

No issues with mine. Maybe it is stretched too far?

Mine isn't real taut in the center of the tailgate. I just lined up the edges with the tailgate edges when I stuck it to the velcro, making sure it didn't overlap the edge.
