Dual liner question

If the bed of my truck is already scratched up possibly through the paint do I need to do something before putting the liner down. I know it doesn't interfere with the drainage of the bed but if it gets wet and stays wet under the mat will it fester rust conditions. I have a cover on the back so it doesnt get rain really but I am in south louisiana and its humid all the time. I was originally thinking a spray in since it would cover the scratches anyway.

Dual Liner Answer's

Great Question, Depending on how bad it is scratched up, I would suggest something to seal any bare exposed metal, there are several products available to protect from rust. It may be as easy as applying a coat of wax or touching it up with a bottle of touch up (rust-o-leum perhaps). The Dual Liner uses a Zero-Skid mat, this mat is ribbed. The underside of the mat has hundreds of nubs that keep the mat from laying directly on the sheet metal of the bed. This creates an air space so it can breath and quickly displace any water or moisture out of the factory designated drain holes. This eliminates any build up of mold, mildew, or any other potentially harmful issues. This Zero Skid mat is a full 3/8ths of an inch thick and it will absorb incredibly severe impacts by spreading the force over a larger surface area, this work the same way with the exact fit side panels as well. That is how the Dual Liner is able to offer the most dent protection than any other typical bed liner. Dual Liner also comes with a Lifetime Warranty and you can take it out if you so desire. Right now Dual Liner is offering a "Holiday Sale", this is the best time to buy yourself the "Real Truck Bed Protection System."

I will have to take a closer look at the scratches. The truck is a 05 and has had palates loaded in and out of it along with other stuff so its not just a couple scratches. I will have to see how deep they are...thanks for the reply!

The bed liner dries out quickly when it gets wet but I can't say it wont stain from consrtuction materials. It is easily removable if I had to carry stuff like that. The Rhino coating on the other hand is just about impervious to anything.

It's held on with a bunch of velcro strips in various places in the box, so it's just a matter of pulling the the liner off of them and sticking it back on.
