Line X vs Bed Rug

Didn't see an old thread on this, so sorry if it is a duplicate. I am getting ready to do something in the bed of my 09 SCrew 5.5 bed. Anyone had Bd Rug and Line X (seperate trucks)? Any thoughts on which is best? I don;t do construction, or anything like that on a regular basis, so I don't haul alot. Usually lumber, trash, or bicycles , maybe the occasional concrete blocks or load of mulch. Price wise they're pretty close, and both have strong supporters here. Just looking for some thought before I lay out the cash.
Thanks
Dan

Its simple, line-x if you actually use your bed, bed rug if you only put groceries back there.

My truck came with a bed rug and I loved it, but the velcro ended up not working to well, stained and worn out, so I ended up throwing it away. It was very comfortable sleeping on whenever I just laid out in the sun and passed out. I'm now leaning toward a line-x due to the bed rug I believe doesn't help prevent rust since I have scratched everywhere on my truck bed.

Line-X. Do it up. And if you want some added softness or grip, throw in the F150 rubber floor mat. Done and done.

actually did you check out the new BedTred? It's made by Bedrug and it has the same soft cushion feel as carpet but the outside of it has the similiar textured surface of a spray on liner. the place I got my Bakflip is now selling the Bedrug/Bedtred too, and he should offer a great price on them, you can PM me for details.

The Bedrug doesn't protect rust though, right?

enurdat1,
IMHO ... If you're going to add a bed cover then go with the Bedrug, if not and the bed will be exposed to the elements, then I would Line-X it.

The bedrug has a soft underside that will not scratch up the paint on the bed, which in turn is what causes rust.

What sold me on the bedrug was its claimed durability when needed, stating it can handle lots of stuff then be vacumed and powerwashed clean.

I agree with the other guys though, if your not going to cover it i wouldnt get the rug, they say it will hold up just fine, i just wouldnt want it getting wet, bird pooped and everything else all the time.

Also the only problem i have with linex and all the other spray in liners is what there known good for. The textured non skid stuff. if you put furniture/washers dryers and countless other items in your bed and dont put a blanket or something over them it will scratch the crap out of them, and in my opinion i dont want to have to get a liner for a liner to protect my stuff. But that stuff is great for a work truck, we have them on our trucks for that reason.

Already have scratches on my truck bed. Yes, the bedrug can handle the powerwash, but, I just wish I had a cover for it, when I got my truck, it had a shell on it to protect the bedrug, but I took it off as soon as possible.

Go for the Line-X. Even if you don't use your bed much, eventually you will have to haul something (especially for friends who don't have trucks.) Line-X is a good product, and it will add some value to your truck. You don't have to worry about scratching up the bed anymore, and if you ever have to haul anything in the rain, you will appreciate the non-slip effect.

My red truck came with a LineX, its nice but a little harsh on furniture when i moved.
My silver truck has a Bed Rug in it. Love it, not quite 100% perfect fit but pretty close
My red truck has a Snug Top over the bed, wish i had it on my silver truck but what can you do.

Overall unless you are using the bed daily for work or loading gravel or dirt constantly, i think i would recommend the bedrug first because its a tad cheaper, and easily reversible.

You can get Line-X for now, and save up for the bedrug? I like that idea.
