I just took them off then bolted them back up, but if you can't get them to come off cut a clean slit for it. It'll still look clean.

get a small cutting tool, cut a slot in the head of the bolt, and turn it into a large flat head screw, then order some new hardware from ford

I would un-bolt them, cut minor round holes the sizes of the bolts, re-install then. I would imagine that being the best way for the cleanest look, and help keep any rain/weathering out from under the rug.

You'll love the Bedrug. It's a neat, clean look. Tough deal with the tie downs. Unforetuneately, too many times, people don't use the proper size torx bit or try to use a phillips bit to get the fasteners out and end up screwing them up. Another good idea is to spray some WD-40 or similar product on the back side of the bolts in case their rusted in.

I guess thats what i get for buying a truck in Mississippi with a bed liner. Before I even started taking out the bolts I could tell they were messed up. Too late to spray anything, bedrug is in, and by the looks and feel of it, its not gonna come up easily.
