So you're saying if someone spills a chemical on their Line X which in turn results in the damage of the liner, a Line X dealer will somehow rip out that section of the liner and spray new liner in its place...all free of charge?

Not trying to argue with you ...just finding it hard to believe that a company would offer free repairs for a customer spilling a chemical which ended up harming the liner...kinda like me plowing my F150 into a pole and asking Ford to repair the truck free of charge.

chemical resistance debate....

MnFatz-
"These are the traits of the polyurea elastomer. These same basic traits persist in whatever compound you put together; hence the corrosive laden sponge I spoke of in an earlier post."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TruckGasm-
"Why do you keep saying LINE-X is made of polyurea? It is not 100% polyurea. The boiling point of water doesn't change when you put salt in it, right"

I'm going to have to agree with MnFatz on this topic:

Even if the compound is not 100% polyurea, it is obvious that chemicals still pose a risk to this alternate compound mixture...one such case being acetone, a chemical which Truckgasm, a Line X affiliate himself, had specifally mentioned not to expose to the spray in liner in a previous post of this thread.

Thumbs up ZLINER BY ZIEBART SUPERIOR THAN BOTH

I WORKED AT RHINO FOR 2 YEARS....IT WILL CHALK-UP OR FADE IN LESS THAN 90 DAYS.......LINEX AND RHINO BOTH REQUIRE UV CLEARCOATS TOP COAT APPLICATIONS TO PREVENT FADING...BECAUSE BOTH MATERIALS ARE PIGMENTED BLACK AFTER THE FACT......ZLINER HAS THE PIGMENT ALREADY MIXED.......THEREFORE THE COLORFASTNESS LASTS...CHECK IT OUT

Unhappy FYI

JUST FOR THOUGHT............RHINO USA INITIATED A $10 OR NOMINAL MONTHLY FEE FOR FRANCHISEES TO PAY TO POOL TO COVER A NATIONAL WARRANTY.....IT WAS TURNED DOWN BY THE INDIVIDUAL FRANCHISES, SO FOR NOW IF YOU HAVE WARRANTY WORK DONE AT A DIFFERENT STORE....THEY BILL THE STORE AND THE CUSTOMER IS HANDLED UNDER WARRANTY

When you go to Ziebarts web site they advertise Rhino!! Is it possible you are talking about some other product? I have always used Line-x and just bought a new truck and trying to decide what to do. If there is a better product I am certainly interested but if Ziebart is using Rhino I'm going to stick with Line-x.

Wrong!
My Line-X is 4 years old and has hardly faded at all. It has no UV clearcoat applied either. I wash it with a hose. Only thing I ever used besides water was some tire cleaner to remove a spot of something I spilled.

My truck already had Line X when i bought it. It looks awesome, nice and black and no scrathes or anything. i even loaded my snowmobile on it this winter and never hurt it.

i really like it, it looks like it came factory almost. The only thing they did wrong was, spayed over the floor bed bolts that hold the box to the frame. They did mask off all the bolts on the tailgate tho.

If you're not planning on pulling the bed box off the frame, why is it wrong to spray over the bed bolts?? I would want those covered as well to prevent rust.

It just looks kinda messy to just spray over the bolt heads. I might want to pull the box off someday, and by spraying into the bolt heads, it just makes it harder.
