worked like a charm for me. the contacts weren't the issue for me however, the small metal piece that rocks back and forth was bent and wouldn't press all the way down so a simple bend back did it for me. The pictures in the write up really helped. Thanks again!

99.9999999% sure that is whats wrong with my driver side window switch. I hit the switch, look over and the window does nothing, a good hard press then she goes up fine.

I will follow your post as I am sure the contacts are gunked up and a good cleaning is all it needs!

 

More than likely what it is. Our F150 switches are apparently notorious for this. I had to take some new pics so I went ahead and did it today---took all of 10 minutes having done it before. Very easy process.

 

Have been having to piddle with mine to get it to roll back up. Cleaned these contacts and worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip.

did my 2007 FX2 today, exact same window/switch as the article.....didn't even have to take the entire switch apart.....was able to slide a piece of folded sandpaper in between..........worked like a charm!! thanks!

I was half in the bag going through F150online and started reading this article and decided to do this as I was going to stop by Ford to order one tomorrow. Took me 5 mins and a mini screwdriver and it works like a charm. Mine was pretty trashed inside, just the drivers front master switch. There are 3 plastic nipples with springs (really tiny) and the left one which controls the up was smashed. I swapped the middle one with the left one which was mint, cleaned up the contacts and it worked like a charm. Thanks for saving me 70 bucks, maybe i'll mail you a case off beer
